Please excuse mr for the late reply. I had to deal with a lot of other

e-mail too.

No, I don't think that the devotees at krishna.com and harekrishna.net are

even aware of the existence of TD.

Some devotees complained that Prabhupada was ridiculed in the conference.

And since this was unfortunately true, and since my name is always invoked

when the conference is under attack, this time I thought that it was better

to close it because I do not approve of ridiculing Prabhupada and cannot

justify it or defend it.

 

So while at a first glance there seems nothing to wrong to discuss Krsna

consciousness as Vaisnava theology and just one more philosophical idea,

when things have gone so bad I think this is the best solution. There have

been many interesting and constructive discussions on various topics on TD,

but I don't feel I have the moral right to let it continue. Think about the

cup of milk and the few drops of lemon who turned everything sour.

Regarding Ekanath, he said that he had left ISKCON quite some time ago and

now the name change simply makes it clear that he doesn't identify as a

devotee anymore and that other devotees should not confused when they see

radical statements coming from somebody with a devotee name. He is still on

Pamho, and I don't think the changing of his name has increased more the

huge gap between him and ISKCON, in fact between him and his previous self.

Being cynical seems to be a pattern and showing empathy an understanding

doesn't seem to have the effect you speak about.

 

I hope that now I have answered everything that needed to be answered about

the closing of TD and my interference in this conference. If I have left

somebody's question unanswered, please ask again.
