And then again (in the case the another initiating guru goes down) forget it all togher and get another one.. And then agin, they may forget it all together again and get the initiation from the third one... Or forget it all together and not take any reinitation at all. No big deal. Anything goes. So long so you follow the siksa of the GBC, right? > I don't believe that a guru leaving > negates one's initiation into the sampradaya, and their acceptance by the > disciplic succession. Reinitiation is a personal choice, not a necessity. Well, either it negates or it doesn't... So what's the meaning of "reconnecting" again through another formal initiation if the first connection is still in tact and not nullified? Sastra is very explicit in this regard -- only ONE diksa. If the first diksa was bona-fide, and if it is still bona-fide, then how can there be another one? Yes, "a personal choice". But I really did not mean to argue how, when the initiating guru leaves, the initiation is nullified. Just that it is not of that importance in ISKCON as following of the *siksa* is. The former one, as you say, "a personal choice". yeah. But the later one? No way. - mnd
