Guest guest Posted March 5, 2002 Report Share Posted March 5, 2002 > Siksa guru and diksa guru are identical, and importance of siksa is quite > well explained by our founder acarya in the first chapter of Adi Lila of > Caitanya Caritamrita, and that is sufficient and adequate for me. diksa guru is also siksa guru. as explained elsewhere, the disciple, before accepting initiation from a particular guru takes siksa from him and when his faith becomes strong enoug he accepts diksa. so diksa guru is already a siksa guru. if someone wants to accept an additional siksa guru then it's also ok but that siksa guru's teachings should not be differnt from or contrary to the teachings of the diksa guru who is in good standard, and if that happens then such a siksaguru is a so called siksa guru. this is not my humble opinion but a scriptural injuction.
