Invitation for Surat Temple opening

Dear Maharajas and Prabhus,

PAMHO.AGTSP.

 

In 1982,we were donated a beautiful Radha Krsna temple in Surat on the bank

of Tapi river,considered the seventh holy river in Puranas.There is

description of Tapi in Caitanay Caritamrta.Lord Caitanya visited the bank of

river Tapi.

 

By the grace of Shrila Prabhupada a grand new temple has been constructed

for their Lordships Shri Shri Radha Damodara and their Lordships Shri Shri

Jagannatha ,Balarama and Subhadra .They will occupy their new throne on the

auspicious Vasanta Pancami day,Feb 17th in a grand inauguration

ceremony.Also the beautiful deities of Shri Shri Gour Nitai and Shri Nathaji

will be installed.The installation ceremony will begin on Feb 15th.A shobha

yatra will be on 16th and 17th maha abhisheka and installation at noon.

 

We humbly invite you all to please grace this auspicious event.We will be

happy to pay A.C. second class sleeper train fare back and forth for any

sannyasi maharaj from whereever he wants in India.

 

Surat had a very special pastime with srila Prabhupada.he spent almost three

weeks in 1970 and got the most enthusiastic reception ever any where.In my

first meetinfg with SP in 1972 in New York he told me "Oh, you are from

Surat? People there are very nice.So build a temple there when ever you have

enough money." It was his desire and now a proper temple is becoming

manifested by his grace.Many devotees have worked hard over the years to see

this project completed.It is still the first phase of the project,and the

second phase will complete it.

 

So again,I on behalf of Surat devotees and congregational members and life

members humbly invite you all to please attend this function and oblige us.
