All glories to Srila Prabhupada. Thank you for your answer. However, I just read in a book by Dinesh S. Mathur that the cadent houses are the 2nd, 5th, 8th and 11th houses, and the succedent houses are 3rd, 6th, 9th and 12th. Maybe a different school has different teachings? It is very important for calculation of life span to see whether beneficial and malefic planets are positioned in these houses, e.g. if beneficial planets for the chart and the owner of the first house are in succedent houses or malefic planets for the chart and the owner of the eight house are in the angles, that would indicate a short life span.
