Please chant the Maha-mantra nicely, thereby propitiating the Sun (Rama) and the Moon (Krishna) and this will give you mental peace, and will also destroy the ill effects of Guru-Candala yoga in navamsha. Mars, Mercury, Jipter and Venus in the 10th would for a good yoga for renunciation, however, Jupiter and Venus are in Yuddha, which may destroy it's significations. Ketu in sambandha with Venus and Saturn also gives good indications for tapasya. Amatyakarak Rahu may also give a disturbed mind, but once again chanting and devotional service are the best Upayas for this. Maybe you could offer some special prayers to Kurma and Varaha, controlling Saturn and Rahu or fast on Saturdays. >> Gauranga prabhu PAMHO AGT Srila Prabhupada One problem with learning, or using Jyotish, is the lack of a complete glossary or dictionary of terms; frequently, when there is some glossary there is no index. Rama's books have no index-that I've found yet-and short glossaries that frequently don't define terms used within the book. Has SJVC or others adressed this isssue before? Now Atma Karaka-the indicator or significator for the soul-is the grha or planet at the highest degree in the individual cart, irrespective of bhava. In my Rashi(birth or janma) this happens to be the Sun at 26'49" CA in 9th. However in "Light on Life" DeHouck and Svoboda quote Jaimini as their source to say the second highest, MA at 26'39" LE in 10th--should be the Amatya Karaka, or indicator for the mind. You said it was Rahu, which is the lowest at 3'12"/4.13 CA, mean/true node. What is the right answer? Later, in your 24 June Re:Solai response to me, you answered my queries thusly: <<> Could you explain what is the definition of a "Chandra-Candala" yoga, as I > don't find in Raman's 300 Yoga Combos, or elsewhere? <This is the conjunction of Moon (Chandra) and Rahu (Chandala) The results may vary from lunacy to suicidal tendencies or just depressive mood etc. The conjunction of Rahu with any benefic is usually bad. When it's Jupiter, then Guru-Candala yoga is formed. When Sun, then Aditya-Chandala yoga, which are both bad to dharma. Exception is when Rahu is Atmakarak, as the AK can do no harm to the native (from the spiritual point of view).>> With both Rahu and the Sun in 9th CA, would this than be Aditya-Chandala yoga? Would chanting Maha Mantra be the best method to cancel some ill effects? Any benefit from applying other/more upayas for Rahu? With Ketu as the only planet aspecting MO in 7th TA also cause some negative mental effects? Would it also negatively effect partnerships?( My marriage days are long behind me:When becoming a devotee, finished. Pandit Ohja told me in 77/78? that my chart was not good for marriage.) Guest guest
Dear Vimal Prasad prabhu, PAMHO, AGTSP. Do you mena the effect on Jayo prabhu's chart or in general? The Maha mantra consists of the names of Rama and Krishna. If you see the genealogy of the Bhagavatam, then it comes down to the Soma-vamsha and Surya-vamsha, the two orders of Rajarshis. Rama appeared in Surya-vamsha, therefore we ascribe Rama as the lord of the Sun, and Krishna in the Soma-vamsha, therefore the Moon represents Him. All the planets for the exception of the Sun and the Moon have two signs under their lordships. But the Sun and the Moon have only one-one. They are Prakasha-Grahas while the others are Tara-Grahas, not having their own light, just reflecting the Sun's light. (of course the Moon also reflects, but essentially they are taken to be on the same level sa the Sun and the Moon are said to be the two eyes of the Lord). So all planets and signs are under the influence of the Sun and the Moon. They are like the Maya, Krishna's energy, Therefoe the third word in the Maha Mantra is Hare, which is Radhe for the devotees but Durga for the materialists. So by chanting of the Maha mantra we propitiate all the planets and all the signs, even the nodes created by the movements of the Sun and the Moon. What greater Upaya could one dream of?
