US War Against Terrorism

Sept 23, 2001: Mars represents aggression, boldness and cruelty. Ketu (south

node) represents low level terrorists. While Rahu (demon's head) represents

intrigue, conspirators and plotters, headless Ketu represents the menial

people and executors of plots and also destruction and smoke (Dhooma Ketu).

When Mars and Ketu conjoin closely, especially in fiery signs, it makes

people very aggressive and results in terrorist activities. This time it

happened very close to the ascendant of USA's birthchart. This resulted in

the great tragedy of September 11, 2001, when about 6,000 people perished in

USA in a horrendous terrorist plot.

 

What is the future? I wrote my thoughts in an article on September 16. If

may also be of interest.

 

For non-astrologers, here is a brief summary:

 

USA may launch strikes in Afghanistan shortly after September 24, 2001. But

operations may start with full force only in Ocotber. There may be some

intrigue and violence during October 4-10, jeopardizing any movement towards

peace and escalating the war. During October, there may also be violence of

great magnitude in Pakistan and some danger to Pakistani President

Musharraf. There may be some twists in the war around October 12. After

October 18, a good time may start for USA and their operations may be more

successful. India may help USA, especially after October 12. During

October-November, terrorist organizations in Afghanistan and Pakistan may

suffer heavily.

 

Though the operations and later maintenance may drag on for years, the main

war and the main operation - whose goals are yet to be defined and refined

in the days to come - may be over in 2001 itself. There may be huge

casualties on all sides. It may take about 3-6 weeks once the initial

obstacles are overcome and the operations attain full swing. Success may be

more complete in May-June 2002. The year 2002-2003 (especially May-July

2002) may bring a significant new beginning for several nations.

 

However, some tasks may be left unfinished and they may haunt USA for a long

time to come.

 

President Bush has to be extra-careful with his security during 2002. By

God's grace, he may overcome the threats in 2002 and lead the nation till

the end of his term.

 

Despite success in this war, USA may make enemies and be dogged with

troubles. The most troublesome and turbulent period for USA since the Civil

War may come during 2004-2015 (especially 2004-2005). But, the trials and

tribulations will only make this exemplary nation even stronger!
