This is the case for a Virgo Lagna . For a Virgo lagna Saturn rules the

fifth (intelligence ,children , past life karma ) and the sixth of karmic

impediments .Note that for Virgo lagna the strongly malefic Saturn rules

both the houses of past life karma and karmic impediments consequently it

is said of Virgo lagnas that this is the sign where karmic retribution is at

a maximium .

 

As Lord of the fifth Saturn is disasterously (dis/aster = without the stars)

placed in the eighth .Saturn in the eighth tends to block the flow of good

karmas but this is even more true in the case where he rules the fifth and

is debilitated .The native can expect little good fortune in his life as a

result of this placement . The only exception to this is that Saturn in the

eighth does not harm longevity.

 

As Lord of the sixth Saturn is not so badly placed in the eighth .This is

still a bad placement for Saturn and Saturn is deblitated but it does fall

in the broad category of Vipareet Raja Yoga and so some of the karmic

impediments associated with sixth house may be weakened somewhat .

 

For a Virgo Lagna Mars rules the third and eighth and thus is the worst

Lord.However he is ideally placed in the third because the third is a good

placement for Mars,he is in his own sign and he is away from the parts of

the chart where he could do a lot of damage to a Virgo Lagna.

 

So the Lord of the eighth is happy and since this is the house of misfortune

we can expect him to reduce misfortune .

 

Mars in Scorpio in the third bestows the native with courage and

determination and it is said that his qualities only flourish in adverse

circumstances . He need not worry here Saturn deblitated in the eighth

should provide plenty of adversity .

 

To summarize all of the above .The native can not expect lady luck to smile

upon him and may have trouble with marriage and children . He might also

have to tackle difficult circumstances but he has an ability to push through

against obstacles which will bring his best qualities to the fore .

 

Of course this is only an analysis of the two strongest malefic influences

in a chart and the more positive influences for a Virgo Lagna Mercury,Venus

and Jupiter have not yet been considered .
