Guest guest
I received these messages today. They are significant, from Patraka dasa, a disciple of Srila Prabhupada and an accomplished Vedic astrologer. This is message #1 of 3. Date sent: Sun, 16 Nov 1997 16:50:29 -0800 Vipramukhya Swami <vswami (AT) mindlink (DOT) bc.ca> "Robert A. Koch" <rakoch (AT) worldnet (DOT) att.net> Ramblings, poisonings, etc. Dear Vipramukhya Maharaja, Dandavats Maharaja! All Glories to Srila Prabhupada. Its been some time since we corresponded, and--apart from the curious issues prompting the present Email--I have been meaning to write to you anyway. I've been hearing through devotee Internet ramblings, that there is a new idea going around alleging that Srila Prabhupada was poisoned. On this issue, one devotee friend of mine, asked me to see if this idea was true from the astrological point of view, using His Divine Grace's chart. Given that astrological longevity has been my area of research for the last two years, and since allegations of this sort are very serious, I endeavored to take a very close look at Prabhupada's chart to see if this possibility existed. From what I can see, there is no possibility--either from the natal combinations in his chart, or from the transient influences at the time of his passing--that he was poisoned. I therefore issued a challenge to someone by the name of "Pada" (whose Internet ramblings, in my opinion, are unnecessarily offensive), that 5 or 10 Vedic astrologers should examine the chart, to see whether or not the allegations could be supported astrologically. Then, afterward, a consensus could be taken. I have sent you in two separate Email forwards, (1) the letter I wrote to him, and (2) another letter I wrote to someone named Raghunatha das ( I don't know him), giving my astrological explanations as to why I don't think that theory is correct. Please read them, and let me know what you think. If you like, you can forward these Emails to as many people as you see fit, in fact, the whole devotee community, if you want to. Thus, if some astrologers come forward to work on this study, the allegations can either be supported, or eliminated, whatever the case may be. I hope you are well at this time, and I look forward to hearing from you! Your servant, Patraka ====================================== Robert A.
