Prabhupada avoided travel on Thursday afternoons if possible, though he would make an exception if traveling then would facilitate preaching. When I have traveled on Thursday afternoons I have experienced missed, delayed, or cancelled flights, mixed-up messages so devotees went to the wrong airport to pick me up (in a foreign country!), and a situation where I almost left my body.
