Astrology vs money?

Dear Luis and all .

I agree with Gargamuni Prabhu. An astrologer is not meant to charge for his

services but we are not living in a Vedic state .Previously people who

benefitted from astrology would have donated liberally to the astrologer .I

have also heard that an astrologer who profiteers on astrology will be

ruined .We should not profiteer on the legacy of the sages but rather

faithfully represent the tradition.

 

It should also be remembered that brahmanas are not meant to accept

employment but many of our Iskcon brahmanas work jobs. Usually the need to

obtain some laxmi requires some compromise of the high brahmanical priciples

..Our real guiding principle should be yukta vairagya to use everything in

the service of Krishna and remembering that the cult of Sri Caitanya

Mahaprabhu is to be as renounced as possible .Seeing such renunciation Lord

Caitanya is very satisfied .
