Guest guest
PAMHO AGTSP On 12 Oct. 1998 I sent out the following warning to Raktambara, Holistic Health Conf. et.al. to prevent any possible negative outcomes: <<I wanted to send this warning out for a long time to as much of ISKCON and friends as possible but have negrlected to do so. I hope you can send it on to as many as possible. Please let me know if you do so I cann be sure that it is widely diseminated. Your servant, Jayo Das Warning: Vaccinations in babies of TWO or more MONTHS of age has been implicated in DEVELOPMENTAL DIABETES. Many experts reccommend baby vaccinations at ONE MONTH to prevent this.>> I was roundly critized by a few, namely Krisna Susarla, 4th year Med student, and Madhusudani Radha dd; it also resulted in a thoroughly informative and ongoing discussion on vaccinations and possible dangers, especially in children. I promised to answer their criticisms, eventually: > >This is the first time I have ever seen a warning like this. Can you please >cite the source? Also, what is meant by "bad reactions" above? Some vaccines>can cause a temporary viral-like syndrome involving low-grade fevers, but such temporary reactions are hardly significant enough to avoid vaccination entirely.> <<I think we need to be very careful before posting strong warnings like thison conferences. The language is very vague and can lead to more, not lessconfusion. In addition to Krsna Susharla's excellent questions, I'd like to know what the author means by "two or more months".>>> The following message has scrolled from Diabetes Forum. #: 824358 29-Oct-1998 20:08:59 Received 27 Dec 1998 Sb: Baby vaccination Fm: SYSOP-ArleneShapiro J.Solomon Hi Jayo, There have been several reports linking the development of Type I diabetes to the pertussis vaccine which is given with the diphtheria and tetanus vaccines (DPT). In the "New Zealand Medical Journal" (May 24, 1996) Dr. Classen stated that vaccines given to children at two months and older can induce diabetes. In "Infectious Diseases in Clinical Practice" (October 22, 1997) Classen presented further data substantiating his theory. He claims that some infants already have a "sub-clinical inflammation of insulin secreting cells" and the injection of the vaccine worsens the inflammation giving rise to the release of interferon which causes an "autoimmune state" which can result in Type 1 diabetes. Dr.Arlene Shapiro, syssop I hope the above at least partly satisfies their request. Yours in service, Jayo Das PS This proposed mechanism hints at other autoimmune diseases that could result from these immunizations. I DO NOT idle post info w/o references!! It was hidden for a long time and I suspect that is why people did not accept it. I am not telling anyone not to vaccinate (before I get accused of that), I am simply saying to make an educated, informared choice.
