Guest guest
Some of the main points of contention at this conference were raised by myself. One point was being discussed about the earth worm. One big popato farmer said that he felt that they were being killed by too much cultivation. I put forward that it had ben proved that chemicals like sulphate of ammonia/ superphosphate kills worms. The speaker, Lois Philipps senior researcher of the Elm Farm Research Ccentre, lent over the rostrum and said "I'm well aware of where I am talking." So I said to my immediate seated neighbors; so it means that because we are in the venue of the SCI (Society of Chemical Industry) we can't speak about the truth of these issues? The other point of contention was with a Dr. Tim Evens director of a composting company based near Heathrow airport. He didn't agree that a compost heap could take in nitrogen from the atmosphere, and that they couldn't measure gaseous emisions until recently. I replied that infact it can and that you only loose nitrogen after a period of ninety days is exceeded. I am writing to him also about the degenerative diseases that come from poor nutrition and chemically grown foods. Which he wouldn't have any part of. ...............
