Guest guest
THE COW PROTECTION PROGRAMME will include the Indore Cattleshed Management system, as described by Sir Albert Howard (India 1905 -1931) which entails a dry management system of all bedding and effluent. Nothing is lost to drainage in the water table and thus there is no pollution. A factor that is found so commonly in farms around the world today. This process, being the most scientific and Vedic of all management systems is operated on a daily basis by the staff so there is not even a build up of effluent beneath the animals feet which results in serious losses of nitrogen when it is subsequently removed and taken out and left in 'cold heaps' where it is leached by rain, wind and sun and remains in a much depleted state for some eventual use in the agricultural process. The welfare of the cows, who prefer to lie on earth, is paramount in this system and a 30% green addition is added to the bedding for their browsing which also makes a correct scientific balance of carbon to nitrogen to make a finely dividable fertiliser that puts no further work upon the soil when it is applied. It is essential as an immediate plant food being easily incorporated into any soil type and crops are not set back by being faced with a partly decomposed material being placed upon it. This product is achieved in 90 days. It's value is of the highest nitrifiable content and is akin to the quality found in the fertility of the forest floor made by Mother Nature Herself. It is made with no extra labour than would otherwise be employed in other systems of management and it is extremely dense and can be cut with many other mediums bringing it to a saleable weight if need be. By expanding the process there can be sales that run into large profit. This also means that without further endeavour all the inhabitants of such a community can benefit by consumption of ORGANIC PRODUCE rather than having to rely on chemically grown foodstuffs from outside (which are one hundred times less valuable), are low in prana and lack the health giving properties of proteins, vitamins and minerals. These foodstuffs will markedly increase the health of the population of both the devotees and their animals giving them a strengthened immune system against disease and viruses. The cows being fed such luscious fodders and bedded in such a luxurious manner will be happier and healthier and relish their position so much that yields of milk can double over and above those rendered by animals sustained by chemically grown feeds. The land being rendered such service by the devotees, following the principle of 'returning to the land all which has been taken from Her, by 'total recycling'', will give forth opulence beyond our expectation. The training and engagement of the male animals will be a prime subject on the self-sufficient community and the animals will be engaged in trailing other ox carts from an early age, thus learning the all important art of transport. Surface cultivation and field maintenance will be their other prime engagements. This all being offered to the Lord will satisfy Him and as the Lord is so satisfied so His devotees will also become satisfied.
