Guest guest
HARE KRSNA HARE KRSNA KRSNA KRSNA HARE HARE HARE RAMA HARE RAMA RAMA RAMA HARE HARE In Ghana, West Africa, we were gifted a very large farmland, on the condition that we would develop it. We have not been able to do much, largely due to lack of funds. There is great potential there and now some devotees are trying. But as land is becoming scarce the locals are trying to take back the land, unless we can do a lot of development on it. Funds are required for seedlings and other things. This is our humble request for help. I know that all of you would like to see this project work. Anyone is invited to go there and help with labor or guidance. The weather is ideal and the land is very fertile for growing almost anything. The amount of laxmi needed, by western standards, is very small. A little will do a lot more than it would anywhere else. We also need some vehicle, preferably a pickup truck. Age and condition is no a factor, since in Africa they are the premiere experts are vehicle repair and maintenance. Whoever is interested can contact either myself or HH Bhakti Tirtha Swami. Donations can be sent to Hare Krsna Temple Account No_3148 at National investment Bank (NIB) Accra, Ghana.
Guest guest
Kavicandra Maharaja, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. Interesting to read about your situation. I hope that you receive help and are able to provide the training that you need for your devotees to develop an a agricultural Hare Krsna community there. You may want to contact Tillers Internation (based in Kalamazoo, Michigan) which does a lot of ox-power training in Africa. http://www.wmich.edu/tillers/ But I was wondering why you did not include Balabhadra prabhu, ISKCON's Minister of Cow Protection and Agriculture on your post? It seems that he should be the first expert that you would turn to for advice in your situation. I'm including him and his wife Mother Chaya in this post to see if they have any advice to give. Did you know that devotees in South Africa are also working on developing a devotee farm project. I believe that at least one South African devotee is considering taking classes at Tillers this summer and also possibly spending time with Balabhadra prabhu at ISCOWP in West Virginia. The Ministry of Cow Protection and Agriculture has been un-funded to this point -- but if the GBC approved of their funding application for this year, they may even be able to send someone personally to help you get established with good farm-management practices. Best of luck on your project. A well-developed farm project could become a very attractive preaching center. your servant, Hare Krsna dasi "Kavicandra Swami (GBC Japan)" wrote: > HARE KRSNA HARE KRSNA KRSNA KRSNA HARE HARE > HARE RAMA HARE RAMA RAMA RAMA HARE HARE > > In Ghana, West Africa, we were gifted a very large farmland, on the > condition that we would develop it.
