Can any body give me the complete name of Howard's book and when it was

published I had that information on my desk but the havoc wrot by two kittens

in hot pursuit of a mouse has made my search ....... so far fruitless. My

office looks like a squad of terrorist had trashed the office and then set a

bomb off. It will be days before I can dig out and try to get organized

again. But sense one of them is a true devotee in a cats body .... Well,

what the heck, they are no where as bad or as messy as children.

Haribol Radha Krsna

What toilet? Is that the one that that various devotees have been

rattling on about? Could you send or email me some real information on the

subject, instead of just antidotal praise! I have a plumbing contracting

business, If it is as good as you say I will sing praises of your product and

tell the world. How much do they cost? What would shipping to the states

be? And most important of all where could the end product end up if you live

in a city, or apartment (flat).

In The Southwest desert where I live the water department is always

looking for ways to cut water usage. If it is as good as you say well I will

tell some of my water dept. buddies and perhaps your toilet will change the

desert!

Well, we have to see if we can convince you that it is.

The first unit in England was trialed by a hospital and they had great

success with it, as they had a patient who couldn't handle using a toilet

with water in it.

They sent us a nice review after one year. It is still in use after three

years.

All you need to plumb in an entire household for sanitation is a piece of

quater inch plastic pipe. Thus, on the average installation you will save

around five thousand pounds. QED.

The other thing you will need is a compost heap in the garden. Or on the

roof top - we had this idea in Calcutta looking at the number of people who

have this facility. All you need to do is collect and haul a few things

that are much lighter than water rather than pull the chain - and add the

modern aphorism - not my problem. They grow a lot of plants on these roof

tops - so they need something to grow them in....

Our own trials were inspected by our area health officer in the London

suburb where we ( still - though hopefully not for much longer) live.

The unique patented filter system in the toilet unit enables the plastic

pipe to be fed through the wall of a first floor or (more floors) building

and down into the garden or if your really "lucky", can be fed right into

small irrigation system over your compost heap. The fully automatic flush

system if you like. This system I want to build in a leanto glass house

(temperate zones only) below the bathroom area which is then heated by

thermostatic control in winter from the house and when the compost heats up

you can back feed the system with 65 degree heat from the compost. If in

fact you allowed room for TWO heaps with TWO copper heating loops on heavey

boards (Carol) you could then interswitch one system into the other to

ensure continuous heatflow. (hot water and heating - gravity fed)

Large scale buildings being purpose built could easily have a brick ducting

arrangement built up to the wall of the house in line with the toilets of 3

or 4 floors for easy low-tech mechanical removal and replacement. While

this system would take a little more explaining I will leave it there for

now. This was suggested in detail for the Mayapur development and is

described in the Lost Science of Organic Cultivation. (Howard + Higgins)

The unit costs, with all the simple equipment, 200.00 Sterling with fully

detailed explanations in the book included. Shipping by air to the US is

50.00 pounds or 35.00 by sea. No need whatsoever to spend 5,000 quid in

western countries........Now that's a saving for any householder or housing

development plan and equivalent for Sri Mayapur. Money is always a problem

isn't it? Well here's how to save a lot in one go.

In Mayapur we had the head teacher of the chilrens school interested in

taking a model. She was prepared to walk through the building with it with

the lid on to her garden out back. As we guarantee no smell or no attraction

to flies. This domestic model is designed to be fully operational by the

Lady of the house. It is not too heavey when full. Two adults take five days

to fill. And one can add all the veg waste into the same unit and empty one

container instead of two ( if kitchen is on same level as bathroom). Thing

is in India, so far, it seems to be harder to break the mould of

conventionalism than in western countries. Although it would be the easiest

and most deserving country in the world of such a system. Formerly the Vedic

system, as agreed by Abhiram prabhu. And a Satvik system as named by H.H.

Jayapataka Swami.

Sometimes the answer is so simple we miss it.

Just like chanting Hare Krsna - it's so simple but it is the method for

overcoming all passion and ignorance.

Sometimes I ponder on the subject of this sanitation system in regard to

what Srila Prabhupada's may have had to say about it. I only came upon it

much too late to talk with him about it and upon it I am sure he would have

gladly commented. Now I continue with internal conviction about this whole

idea of organic synthesis. It surely is a grand solution for so many

problems that the world has been facing for so many years.

Going away from simple agricultural practises like upland agriculture and

introducing the removal of trees from hills and mountains will only cause

more and more problems with flooding that we see in the world. Similarly to

put stool into water is a sin (Manu Smrti) and will only result in a other

various arrays of water problems. The land has, is and will continue to

suffer at the loss of such a natural and valuable resource (nitrogen,

phosphorus and potassium), that is according to sastra, ment to go back to

the place from which it came - Mother Earth. This is real recycling. Or

total recycling in a manner that is acceptible today.

Right now in Germany experiments are being carried out to prove that organic

food is actually a source of health and longevity (minerals, vitamins and

proteins) whereas inorganic food is the cause of weakening of the blood and

immune system which opens the doors for disease. These things were

adequately proven in the past, many years ago, (I have much documentary

edivdence) but the modern scientists among us feel they have to prove it all

over again, so modern science can take the credit. Such is the way of modern

thinkers today.

Any way without taking up any more of your valuable time - it's really a

great toilet!

Your servant,

Radha Krsna das.
