Guest guest
>i found jeruslam artichokes were good in the uk as they grow 8 ft high and >need no attention at all except planting and diging to eat not even storage >there are many vege like this, PFAF has stock, I grew them last year 11 feet tall on fresh Indore compost, I thought I was going to get complaints from the neighbors above. I'm going down to see Plants For A Future this week end. I will try and get some similar crops to this artichoke. At the Manor we have Bhakta Ian. He is very dedicated to agricultural success. He agrees that we could try Russian Cumfrey. It is the heaviest cropping fodder/compost material I have ever come across - 120 tons/acre in 3 or 4 years. It grows down but not out and doesn't seed itself.
