The guidelines are listed below and at http://www.farmusa.org/sabina.htm. The proposal should be e-mailed to sabina (AT) farmusa (DOT) org by July 15. Responses will be sent in late August. The Sabina Fund was established by FARM in 1999 to fund grassroots projects reducing consumption of animals and publicizing the devastating impacts of animal agriculture. The Fund honors the memory of FARM President Alex Hershaft's mother, Sabina, who passed away in 1996. Since 1999, we have awarded grants to more than 100 grassroots groups in the US and two dozen other countries. ----------------- GRANT APPLICATION GUIDE Applications for grants ranging from $500 to $1,500 should contain no more than 3 pages and 2 brief attachments and should follow these guidelines: The applicant must be a grassroots organization or coalition of such organizations. The project should be innovative and designed to effectively reduce consumption of animals. The proposal should state clear, specific objective(s) sought and an action plan with specific tasks and a timeline. The proposal should provide a budget showing how the funds will be spent. The proposal should indicate how the expected results will be assessed and reported and how the Sabina Fund's contribution will be acknowledged. The proposal should indicate the identity and prior credits of the project director. We generally do not cover salaries, festivals, and printing of books/magazines Availability of matching funds and/or services and likelihood that the experience gained can be applied elsewhere will enhance your proposal.
