Guest guest
Question from Kaliananda: In Chap 11 vs 41 of the Chandi "14th day of the infinite ruled by the universal light in the twenty-eight period for manifestation" – is this reference to Sukla and Krishna? Is this verse saying that these two thoughts are continuously birthed at full moon and new moon? Also, is it at the point of knowing and accepting who we are and what is our goal, that these thoughts come and go without any reaction from the spiritual seeker? Thank you for your time Swamiji. Swamiji's response: I read it differently: There are 14 Manvantaras in a day of Brahma, each presided over by one Manu. Each Manvantara comprises 71 complete revolutions of the four yugas: Satya, Treta, Dvarpara, and Kali. In the 28th part which is ruled by the Universal Light, these same two thoughts will become manifest again. That is what the text says. But I understand that Self Conceit and Self Deprecation are born every time the ego has attachment.
