Regarding the Ganga

 

There is a beautiful seasonal stream at the Devi Mandir. It flows thru

the Mandir past Shree Maa's home. Many times Maa has walked across

the stream and blessed it. I feel it is the Ganga. Everytime I walk

over the small bridge, I ask that Mother Ganga, take the Blessings of

Shree Maa and carry them to all creation in all forms of water: dew,

fog, rain, creeks, streams, springs, rivers, and oceans. I thank Her,

tell Her I appreciate Her, and honor Her.

It is my opinion, that Mother Ganga is all water, every where, because

water cleanses, purifies, and sustains all life. Mother Gange is

within me and all lving beings. Thus, I feel, that everytime I chant

Ganga's mantras, She is enlivened and enriched, and returns that

blessing to me.

 

I love Mother Ganga.

Namaste Vish,

While living at the Mandir, it was a great joy to sit and meditate by the stream. As I'm sure you know, there is a place to sit just below the Napashvara Siva Lingam which is built around a tree. Sitting there one can sense the awsome vastness of time and all the lives and incarnations of all the beings around the area, listening to the birds singing and the music of the holy stream.

As you know also, (but I'm telling this for the benifit of the other readers) Maa puts all the thousands of little Siva Linghams that She makes from clay in the stream, around the time of Sivaratri. Also, the flowers that have been offered in the temple, to the deities, are thrown in the stream. Once when we were walking with Maa and Swami Ji, when crossing the stream down at the highway, there was a coconut bobbing along, that had been offered in the fire yagya. I said, "Maa look, there's the coconut", and Maa bowed to the coconut, and we all followed Her example, and bowed also.

The Mandir is such a magical place, and the stream is Maa Ganga.
