Sun Gazing

Several years ago I permanently damaged my eyes by sun gazing. I began to

gaze at the sun spontaneously in the late '80s. I didn't know why I did it

and I am not aware of any personal benefits.

 

 

 

It was interesting in that one wouldn't expect to be able to fully gaze at

the sun for substantial periods; but it is possible. I had no guidance, and

after several months of gazing at the sun intermittently and sporadically I

began to realize that my eyes were being damaged and so I quit.

 

 

 

Years later, I still notice the damage occasionally; but without any serious

consequences.
