Dear Henny ~ I missed the digest this was in. Getting behind again, due to my impending move. I love this so much. What a wonderful image ... to sit down at the banks of our inner river of consciousness. When I first learned TM, the metaphor that was used was the ocean. Meditation was diving deep into the ocean of consciousness; any thoughts or images, etc. were simply waves on the surface or bubbles (things we carry being released). I have always loved this image, and how wonderful to add the image of the Ganga to this beautiful metaphor. Thank you ~ Linda
