Guest guest
SriyaHpathippaDi post 4 “lOkAchAryAya guravE krshNapAdasya sUnavE samsArabhOgi samdashTa jIvajIvAthavE namaH” “prostrations to piLLai lOkAcharya, the son of krishNapAda, who is the very life to the souls withered in mundane experiences” akArArthham ---------------- “a” karam is derived from the “ava rakshanE” dhAthu or root. “Ava” comes in the meaning of protection and protection means, anishta nivritthi and ishta prapthi, according to the swaroopa of the jivathma. The word meaning “raksha” in the dhathu has no preconditions, so it implies, that all states, time, places, and everyone is being protected in every sense. This again implies to the “nirhethuka” aspect. Swami’s own words: “rakshanam thanakku sankOcam illAmayAlE sarvadESa.....sarva prakAratthilum paNNum rakshaNatthai collukiRathu” Azhwar pasuram: chAlappalanALuhanthOr uyirkaL kAppAn kOlatthirumAmakaLOTunnai kUTathe... The importance of this separate work, sriyaHpathippaTi is stressed here in. The causeless, mercy or rakshakathwa of sriyaHpathi is implied. The reasons of laksmi sambandham in “a”kara is explained then, In lakshmi thanthra pirATTi says “ahanthA brahmaNasthasya sAhamasmi sanAthani” I am the “AhanthA” of brhaman. The lakshmi sambandham or the divine couple, is much more important to parmathma than the jnjAnamayatva and Ananda mayatva, because the focus of seshathva of jivathmA is the divine couple. More over protection needs her presence. Because of all these reasons, lakshmi sambandha must be incorporated into “a”kara. Here swami uses the word lakshmi instead of SrI. “lakshyathE anayAyIthi lakshmi” is the explanation, all beings are protected by the kaTAksham of nAchiyAr. kOthilulakaaciriyan kuurakulOththama thaathar thiithil thirumalaiyaazhvaar cezhunkuravai maNavaaLar Othariya pukazh thirunNaavutaiyapiraan thaatharuTan pOtha maNavaaLamuni ponnaTikaL pORRuvanE. vaazhi ulakaaciriyan vaazhiyavan mannukulam vaazhi mutumbaiyennum maanakaram - vaazhi manamchuuzhntha pErinpam malkumiku nallaar inan chuuzhnthirukku miruppu. continued in the next post...
