Pranams to all Acharyas!

Namaskarams to all members and moderators.

I am reciting Mahannyasam alongwith other members of the Veda class

and would like to know the detailed meaning of the verses.  Possibly

word for word meaning, etc.  Is there any book having detailed

Bhashyam on Mahannyasam, if so, who is the author and where can I get

it?

I would appreciate help from our members/moderators

Pranams once again.

As far as I know, there is no commentary available on mahanyAsaM maNtra

since this is a compilation work  of various vEda maNtra-s mostly  from

namaka, chamaka,  and verses  from purANa-s...shOdashAnga raudrIkaraNaM,

brahmAtman nityanuvAka, dashAnga raudrIkaraNa, shivasaNkalpa hrudayaM etc.

etc. are to eulogize shiva bhagavan...any available good commentary on

shatarudrIya will serve the purpose I believe.

There is an excellent book on rudram and chamakam published by the

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Mumbai, based on the Taittiriya recension. You

will find the original devenagari (no swara though) with english

translation and commentary from a learned pandita in this book....."

Namaste,

The book published by the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is likely

out of print, as it does not appear in their Catalogue of

publications.

Sw. Dayanandaji's book is listed:

Book is a Commentary on Sri Rudram with word for word meaning. Audio

tape contains chanting of Rudram.

Publication Date: 2000

Price: $15.00
