Guest guest
SAT NAM, I would like to get your expert advice on what it really means to "LIVE IN THE MOMENT" .." LIVE MOMENT TO MOMENT". Does it mean 1. Your mind is calm and your awareness is wide? 2. To achieve this do we have to keep our focus on the breathe and observe it? 3. Will we achieve this when our breathing is balanced between the nostrils? Thanks a lot for your expert input on this. When I keep myself heart centered everything seems to be happening here and now and not there... does this make sense to anybody. I feel very cozy and taken care off... Thanks Akkama Tired of spam? Guest guest
Dear Akkama: Your description is beautiful: "When I keep myself heart centered everything seems to be happening here and now and not there... does this make sense to anybody. I feel very cozy and taken care off..." You don't need the other questions you raised. The key is how to bring yourself to a heart centered state. And heart centered means all is felt as it comes: sadness, fears, angers, joys, etc Blessings, Awtar
Guest guest
Sat Nam, I think that one aspect of "Living the Moment" is to be totally conscious of every thought and action, to be able express our real self and NOT a mechanical reflection/reaction pre-stored in our mind. Our mind is very usefull and has a lot of recipies to make things easier, but we must not forget that the “Boss” is the Spirit and our purpose comes from there. The consciousness to decide on the best recipe, or even to make a NEW recipe, comes from the Spirit. In other words, let your Spirit be the Boss and not the pre-stored judgements of your mind. As an example: Imagine that every day you take the same taxi, at the same time and the same place to go to work. One day you get into the taxi and fall sleep. The driver takes you automatically to work without asking questions and on arrival he awakes you. Then you realize that you are at work BUT that day you needed to go somewhere else, and not you are really angry/frustrated/anxious/sad/etc because you will be late to your very important appointment!!!..... You (the passenger) are the Spirit, the taxi is your body and the Taxi-driver is your mind. What happened? Blessings, Haripal Tired of spam?
