Cow Protection Survey?

May I humbly suggest now the Cow Protection Standards are complete?, that

ISCOWP prepare a simple survey form or worksheet (if this hasn't been done

before, and I missed out on it) that temples, goshallas or family farms can

fill out. This could supplement the Standards and make it easy for making

assessments (for both the goshallas and ISCOWP). I very much liked those

profiles in Dhanesvar Prabhu's classic 'Hare Krishna Directory'.

A database might be nice idea. We could get information and ideas from

others, if we knew what they're up to. Even if the survey isn't used for a

database, it may help some of us to focus our service and relate to the

Standards.

Perhaps an archives of subject indexed information texts, that could be

easily accessed. The world-wide devotee community has so many years of

experience in so many areas, it would be a shame to have to re-invent the

wheel over and over again. (Again, I'm probably uninformed, my web/Com

access is so restricted.) Does ISCOWP or the Cow Conference keep an indexed

listing of such texts or information?

* In the meantime, (rather delayed in posting this message as may seem

overly naive or impractical) - I received a nice Y2K Farm Survey Report

Form from Bhakti Raghava Maharaja. Perhaps there should be some kind of

coordination between these conferences, comments?

Yeah, another project! Personally, I need to put energy into getting a

prototype Cow Trust functioning.

We know you've energy enough for many projects simultaneously.

I'd like to see what you have on prototype Cow Trusts.

We just got a letter form Bhakti Ragava Swami, a member of the Y2K North

American committee that has already sent out a survey to all the ISKCON

farms. It was of them to think of us after they did it. So, we have

requested that they share their results with us. No sense two groups doing

the same thing.

Yes, we will see if we receive any information from this committee. We

understand you have fille dout the survey, so we know they have your

information to send us.

We do not have a very sophisticated system. I do save all texts I feel have

good information into folders of the corressponding subject matter on a zip

drive. I have been dong this for about two years now.

Yes, that would be nice as mentioned above.
