Guest guest
> Time to get cracking. At least in the UK we're having a high-level > managers meeting on Friday simply to discuss programmes of addressing > these issues. At last. Any encouraging progress reports from elsewhere? Camp: Sri Mayapur Candrodaya Mandir, ISKCON Sridham Mayapur Dear Tribhangananda Prabhu, please accept my humble obeisances, all glories to Srila Prabhupada. Yesterday we had a meeting on Y2K preparedness with all the Mayapur department heads, the counsellors (spiritual supervisors of small groups of devotees) and other senior devotees, a total of approximately 60 participants. The meeting increased awareness and officially presented Mayapur policy: we are going to thoroghly prepare. Dayaram Prabhu, ISKCON Mayapur's CEO, made clear that we are going to get ready for the troubles ahead, starting *immediately*. Among other things he stressed the importance of storing food and start using the land to produce food, without relying on industrial insecticides, pesticides or fertilizers. Each department was directed to study its own situation and see what steps are needed. Kurma Caitanya Prabhu has been put in charge of the office for the coordination of all the efforts at preparation. Everyone in Mayapur can contact him and Madhusudana Prabhu for assistance. your servant, Kaunteya das
