Guest guest
Dear Bhakti Vikasa Swami, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada! > [Text 2876117 from COM] > > Apparently, the traditional Indian village system of wiping the floor daily > with a mixture of water and fresh cow dung assures that flies will not > settle there. What about other insects? Does it repel them also? > >From the ISCOWP News Summer/Fall 1997 Dr. Laxmi Narain Modi in his presentation for the Livestock Policy Perspective 2020 July 5-7 1995 to be held in India stated: "1) Dung and urine from cows and bulls (cattle) are essential for organic manure (OM) which is used in the construction of new houses, frequent coating of floors and walls of mud houses to protect from insects, and as a base for bio-gas programs. There are innumerable other uses for traditional medicines." Back in 1997 on the cow conference we had some discussions on the use of cow manure.
