Guest guest
Pamho. _/\o_ AgtSP! Where can I find any verses in Shasta where Krsna says he likes milk? First forgive (maybe) stupid question but all my life I lived in the city. We preach people about need for cow protection but in the same time we drink the milk from the "milk factories". It's commonly known that cow has to give birth to a calf, other way there will be no milk. What to do with all this calves in the future because their population will grow geometrically. Today people are killing them and saying that we are promoting utopia and by drinking milk we are the coses of death of this calves. Forgive me my terrible English, please. It is possible to get breeds that milk for several years with a single calf. The problem is that it is at a low level that is not efficient for production in competition with market prices. However, it can be quite sufficient for local consumption, of the farmer and a few neighbors.

Guest guest
dWe have experience in New Vrindaban of Jersey cows giving 1.5 gallons daily even after 3 years. I suspect most of the hertige homesteader breeds would have similar trait. The modern bred for the factory farm Holsteins, after a year, you are lucky to get 1/2 gallon of milk, and feeding a larger animal.
