Granted, the GBC have > dropped the ball in the past, and they should act like fire against child > abusers, women abusers, and cow abusers. How do you suggest they go about > it? Dropped the ball!? Wow, is that the understatement of the millenium. I wish I could drive thousands of Prabhupada's disciples away from his own movement through abusive management, zonal acarya disease, cow abuse, child molestation in the holiest city on earth and myriad other criminal acts and be only accused of "dropping the ball". No wonder it continues for decades. > A few constructive suggestions, besides the gigantic demand that > varnashrama be "implemented" (whatever that means) This is the same old crap I always here about my tirades. Prabhupada never said it was a "gigantic demand". This is hogwash and a lame excuse for poor leadership. All the instructions are there in Prabhupada's books and various conversations regarding implementing varnasrama in ISKCON. You seem to be looking for some big magic bullet instead of taking things step by step according to Prabhupada's instructions. I have given practical suggestions time and time again and if you have not read them you have misplaced your criticism. Prabhupada gave detailed instructions to his senior disciples long, long ago and they simply failed to follow the orders. "Start varnasrama colleges in EVERY center, immediately". These were Prabhupada's orders almost 26 years ago. Whats the excuse of the so-called leaders? "Its been an emergency so we had to make up some new kind of management system which we thought would work better"? Good try. Oct. 16, 1975: Harikesa: No, no. Let's say you have a king, and he is deciding this person is worthy of... Prabhupada: No, no. Beginning Krsna. Why don't you read Bhagavad- Gita? You don't know? Harikesa: No, no. Yes. Prabhupada: What is the social arrangement? What is that? Harikesa: That Krsna created the four orders. Prabhupada: Yes. So you make that four orders, and then society will be in order. But you are not taking Krsna's advice. You are manufacturing your hellish ideas. They didn't listen to Prabhupada's advice, I don't think they are going to listen to me no matter what I say. Sometimes it takes a thorn to remove a thorn.
