Guest guest
Re: A History of Blaming Anyone But Me >Prabhu It is not a joke to throw these accusations around like you are the white knight. If you have a problem, the simply chant Hare Krishna. That is the method of becoming purified. No, you are wrong, according to Lord Chaitanya, chanting can water the weeds which can choke the creeper of bhakti. Such weeds are "diplomatic behaviour, animal killing, mundane profiteering, mundane adoration, and mundane importance. All these are unwanted creepers" One may say OK, work on those yourself leave others alone. But a real vaisnava will do both. He is simply not satisfied with his own liberation, that is his nature. He will not be content that he has learnt to identify these weeds and let the rest of his spiritual master's society go to hell, being dragged down by false leaders who cultivate the weeds mention above. He will send out a warning, point out the discrepency, do the needful. "Real welfare work is that which distinguishes reality from illusion for the benefit of all" ....OF ALL, not just pointing out the illusions of the "karmis" Therefore it is not blasphemy to point out such weeds which are very hard to identify, we are told, even if the act of pointing out is not much appreciated. >Who are you to go around lambasting everyone like you are owed some type of special prerogrative. I have taken care of cows for many years of my life... ....at this point I will leave your article as it is too riddled with proud, self-righteous, guilt-trip-laying statements to waste time with. Besides, it would be falling on deaf ears. Do you really think being a GBC or a position of any sort equals spiritual advancement and therefore respectability? I can give you heaps of quotes it isn't at all dependent on such external criteria. -That it is a question of qualification. The qualities of a respectable devotee who is overcoming his anarthas- the weeds as described above- is just as possible in a newly joined bhakta potwasher as a GBC- more so we often find. Lord Rama took seriously the advice of a washerman and acted on it. He went out in disguise to hear such criticism. And He is God. When we learn to respect the loyal, honest givers of critical feedback instead of condemning them, then our movement will be following Lord Rama, and like His kingdom, will become joyful, pure and progressive.
