I really don't want to kill the little beasts with lethal chemicals but I haven't found any thing that really works well and consistently. I have tried every thing from soap solution sprayed on the plants to liquefied horn worms in solution every thing works somewhat but not consistently, or well enough to do me any good. For a large crop or even say one acre of tomatoes. I am really interested in indore compost if it controls tomato horn worms. What is it and how is it utilized? Curious minds want to know! The title mentioned recently is The Lost Science of Organic Cultivation, by Sir Albert Howard, who was first mentioned to us by Hare Krsna dasi. We looked into his work and found out about thermophylic composting which no one really seems to do these days. The Centre for Alternative Technology in Wales do not do it, nor does Mr. Jenkins with his Humanure.... It is in fact a wonderful discovery which we believe to be a Vedic practice. Abihram met with me on a London train recently and we agreed that even Dvaraka city handled its sanitation in this way. The research on this subject goes back as far as 4,700 years to the Chinese culture.- F.H. King 'Farmers of Forty Centuries'. This was the main source of reference for Sir Albert, who was later knighted for his work by the queen of England. Available £12.95 sterling + £3.00 p&p: R. Higgins, 107 Stanborough Avenue, Borehamwood, Herts. WD6 5LT. England.
