At NV when they were building the 600 cow barn, it was designed to accomodate a methane generator. When they first moved in, they didn't have the generator, because the consultants said it would take 200 cows to make it economically viable and they didn't have that many yet. Of course, that is in the context of American agriculture where the only criterion is profit. I am not so sure they will eventually come to us, but hey, we have to try.
