Short notice I know -- but here is an exceptional conference on

"improving the comfort of the cows" or should I say "comfort of the

bulls" in the UK next Thursday.

The conference is being organized by Paul Starkey, who is probably the

world's leading expert on the subject of care and comfort of draught

animals, and who has organized many events in countries around the world.

Syamasundara prabhu, naturally I think of devotees working with you at

Bhaktivedanta Manor. Do you think there is any possibility that you or

someone else could attend this? The conference takes on heightened

significance because they are talking about solutions especially geared

toward poorer countries. There could be much valuable information to

correct the substandard practices of the Vrndavana and Mayapur projects

-- but unfortunately, there is no possibility of anyone from India

attending -- especially on such short notice.

Thus, only if devotees in the UK can attend is there a possibility of

passing on design, housing and feeding information which could help

improve the comfort of ISKCON bullocks/oxen around the world. Again, I

stress that the emphasis will be on *low-cost* methods to improve the

welfare and comfort of draught animals. Let us know if you think

anyone can attend.

your servant,

Hare Krsna dasi
