Guest guest
Dear Prabhus, PAMHO. AGTSP. Due to cow abuse and neglect in the past and present at ISKCON cow protection facilities, Law 507 was passed by the GBC body last year. According to this ISKCON Law (507) the GBC are required to file reports about their respective ISKCON farms on a quarterly basis. This is the first part of the "check and balance system" for cow protection centers set up by the Minimum Cow Protection Standards passed last year (law 507). Report forms and copies of the Standards have been sent to all respective GBC. This is a reminder, humbling requesting that these reports be sent in for the protection of ISKCON's cows to iscowp (AT) ovnet (DOT) com. If anyone requires these and/or needs more information please contact cow (AT) bbt (DOT) se or iscowp (AT) ovnet (DOT) com. Guest guest
Dear Janesvara Prabhu, PAMHO. AGTSP. > Obviously this is not a sick joke. At first I thought I was reading the list > incorrectly; that these were the places from which reports WERE received. But, > no, the list is of those places and GBCs from whom you have not received > reports as required by ISKCON Corporate by-laws. > > Could you give us a list of those who HAVE complied with the laws. Since we submitted the listing of ISKCON Farms (Nov. 2) not current with Minimum Cow Protection Standard's GBC report forms we have received requests for said forms from Gunagrahi das Goswami, Bhakti Raghava Swami, Rohini Suta Prabhu, and Malati Prabhu. Those forms are being sent by e-mail today. Bhakti-tirtha Swami has just sent his signed report today by post for Gita Nagari and we have received the e-mail copy today. Otherwise there has been no reports from the GBC coming to this ministry. > Is there something MORE important than protecting the cows? We have submitted proposals to the ISKCON Foundation and the GBC (Mayapur meetings 2000) for a modest budget so a ministry representative can travel to inspect ISKCON Farms and we can prepare literature for the education of all devotees in reference to the philosophical and practical application of cow protection within our movement. The word of mouth which we are receiving is that there is no money for this ministry's service.
