Dear Bir Krsna Maharaja, Gopal Krsna Maharaja, Madhusevita Prabhu, and

Balabhadra Prabhu,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to His Divine Grace Srila

Prabhupada.

Thank you all for your very moving letter to Srila Prabhupada. All honest

devotees will be gratified by your example. Your determination to set things

right is good new for us all.

As you know, there is a lot to be done. I and many others will also look

forward in the weeks to come to hearing about your proposals to end the

development of cult mentality and the growth of break-away cults in ISKCON.

Wherever the oppressive cult mentality supplants Srila Prabhupada's

instructions

of how to be a devotee of Krsna, the most helpless citizens of ISKCON suffer.

And, first among the sufferers are the cows, who have no voice to defend

themselves.

However, your letter today gives great cause for hope:

*******************

Srimad-Bhagavatam Canto 4: Chapter Twenty-one, Text 44 :PURPORT

The Supreme Personality of Godhead is worshiped with the prayer namo

brahmanya-devaya go-brahmana-hitaya ca. Thus it is clear that the Supreme

personality of Godhead respects and protects the brahmanas and brahminical

culture, as well as the cows; in other words, wherever there are brahmanas and

brahminical culture, there are cows and cow protection. In a society or

civilization in which there are no brahmanas or brahminical culture, cows are

treated as ordinary animals and slaughtered, at the sacrifice of human

civilization.

*******************

I hope that you will all forgive me for being so bold in pursuing some action

in

this matter. I especially apologize to Bir Krsna Maharaja; I realize that I

have seemed very harsh with you. I hope you will find satisfaction and the

appreciation of the devotees in your present course. I know that it is very

difficult to begin yet another search for our hidden faults of the past. But,

as you know, these faults are sapping the spiritual potency of Srila

Prabhupada's movement. They may be hidden, but they are still crippling us. You

may look forward with dread to what you may uncover at some of our

long-neglected farm communities. But I believe that that when you and all the

other GBCs go to them and help them get back on their feet, you will uncover at

the same time a spiritual potency and new ideas that will help revitalize our

society. As soon as you receive the grateful smiles of Krsna's cowherds and

grateful licks of Krsna's cows and bulls and calves, you will simultaneously

feel Srila Prabhupada's benediction shining down on you.

Thank you again for your example of service to Srila Prabhupada.

your servant,

Hare Krsna dasi

Dear Bir Krsna Swami,

I certainly don't know you very well, but I do see your name showing up in the

middle of difficult situations, usually with some well reasoned responses to

complicated problems. The material world being what it is, I am sure I could

find something to disagree with you about, but I haven't so far.

I am weak in sadhana, and no one will ever mistake me as an advanced devotee.

Even my children are more Pokemon conscious than Krsna conscious, but if you

should ever come by New Vrindaban, you are a welcome guest in my home, and I

would be honored to offer you a meal.

(Dear Krsna, help this guy out, he is in the hot seat)

Hare Krsna Maharaj. PAMHO AGTSP. Interesting and sad observation you have

made in your travels. It comes back to the pressure of making the almighty

dollar I guess. Here also we have tractors and it seems so much quicker to

just jump on and away you go. Personally I think if a community is serious

about utilising the bullocks, then no tractors should be allowed to "reside"

on the farm.

Well that's a good question Maharaja. I often ask that myself and I

intend to get into the issue in the next few months. Right now we are just

getting back into action after the floods but a review of the gosalla and

agricultural depts. is on the cards.

It appears that com is somehow or other unavailable on the server. It just

happened the last couple of days. Is there something wrong with the com or

is it just me. Sorry to be a bother, but I couldn't find any other message

on my email related to com so I though perhaps someone might could help me

just this once.

A jewel of a temple project would be best displayed in a setting of a

traditional village culture. That may require some subsidization.

Krsna was a cowherd boy.

It is the mirror site that is having difficulty, not COM itself.
