Guest guest
Dear Prabhus, 'Why' is the most important, and I > have seen on this conference that devotees question > 'why' a hell of a lot. This is good, the problem here > though is it could lead to a slow progress into what > etc, leading to project stagnation. > > > Why? - why do we need a project (needs-based > assessment), Let's start with WHY. Here's my simple why: Not long before he left the planet, Srila Prabhupada was going to Gita Nagari to establish Varnasrama. He said that Gita Nagari, at the time, had the food problem solved. Krsna Conscious rural communitees can provide food, employment, and shelter, espescially during times of world turmoil. Therefore we are presenting an outline of necessities for developing and maintaining KC rural communities for the purpose of realizing Srila Prabhupada's mission. Some additions, ommissions? The fact is that such communities can reverse the negative effects of Kali Yuga. When Dharma is being followed, the Earth gives up her bounty with great happiness. Communities that are based on Krsna Consciousness are protected from Kali Yuga. Prabhupada predicted that with one good unit of 'ideal society', we can influence the world. So for the good of human society in general Varnasrama communities are absolutely essential. YS Samba das
Guest guest
haribol prabhus pamho agtsp Also the why may be for our own spiritual development. The pace of city life and the distance it brings to a vital aspect of our philosophy - cow protection /simple living high thinking - is not really the best environment to rear the next generation who will take this movement on when we too are leaving our bodies. They will continue the cow protection and sustainable plans beyond our lifespan - teach and assist society to develop. ys AMD
