This is the Ministry for Cow Protection and Agriculture. We are sudras, vaisyas

at best. The Ministry and the conference members are in a position to tell the

devotee world how it will be possible to set up a situation where they can grow

their own food, have shelter in a safe haven in a rural setting. We can explain

how you can survive. Let some brahminical ministry or wahtever decide the

social structure who can live there etc. Some say that the brahmjical culture

comes first, some say that everyone has to eat therefore that problem has to be

solved first. I am going by what Srila Prabhupada was trying to do before he

left the planet. He was going where they had the food problem solved to

establish Varnasrama. So, if a plan as to how the food problem can be solved

is presented, then let others add their own social structure, differring in

different locations. Like a handbook on survial in a Krsna conscious manner,

i.e. we won't be breeding animals for meat etc., won't be growing pot for cash

or forgetfulness. Lets not get slowed down by discussions about varnasrama

structure, such discussions have been going on for years without any

conclusions and nothing to show.

Dear all,

 

I agree entirely with Chayadevi's email below. We

should concentrate on production, the mode of passion.

 

The why here then is why produce? - to eat, to sleep,

to mate, to defend.

 

The how is? - the nuts and bolts of production.

 

I have always thought that the less we concentrate on

human matters and the more on the land and the cows

and production and trade then the more we will fulfil

the first animal needs of the human. Without rural

development I am left to think the rest is sahajaism.
