Guest guest
Haribol to all you good souls! PAMHO, AGTSP. Do you realize how wonderful it is to see so much energy being put forth, by so many, and for such high ideals as cow protection, communal living, sustainablility, and caring for the lost, illusioned, the frightened, etc??? This is Awesome! I've been off-line for several days, (working as a substitute high school teacher, although tenured, I took a year's leave of absence to pursue Krsna Consciousness) and I'm dealing with a growing number of neophytes, trying to gently coax them towards Prabhupada's books, kirtan, prasadam, etc. {Within the "MATRIX" of public education, it's been an interesting tight rope walk} Anyway... I just wanted to say- to all in the Cow Conference- Hurray! All of you, regardless of your prior experiences, are to be commended. This is sooooo refreshing, (to read all of these intelligent reccomendations, remarks, concerns, querries, objections), etc. We ARE in KALI yuga, no doubt about it. And this being the obvious case, it lifts my spirits to read from all of you as you try, (as best we conditioned souls can), to do the right thing by Prabhupada. Forgive my poor paraphrasing, (I'm doing all of this "off the cuff") but I recall that Krsna says somewhere... "I am situated in everyone's heart. From Me alone, comes all knowledge, rememberance and forgetfullness"...and somewhere else..."I am directing the wanderings of all the living entities throughout the universe...." So, with this in mind, I am hopeful, optimistic, and overjoyed to think that so many good humans are "busy" with (not only things OTHER than meat eating, intoxication, illicit sex, and gambling), but are attempting to give sanctuary, safe haven, and refuge to those still "in the darkness" of MAYA about the goal of human life, and are sadly in ignorance regarding the sublime beauty of Srila Prabhupada's life, mission, and teachings. "Purity is the force, books are the basis, utility is the principle, and preaching is the essence". Carry on... HARE KRSNA!
