Guest guest
Dear Prabhus, PAMHO. AGTSP. The Mayapur proposal is waiting to see what happens at the ICC meetings. the Ministry budget proposal has received varied responses, here are some; 1) The GBC body has hardly any money and therefore we should ask for only $2000 or $3000 for a specific travel to a specific location of one or two places. (Coming from a GBC member) 2) And that the Ministries and their needs will be discussed so there is no need to make a seperate proposal <Iskcon Ministries is slated for discussion at this years GBC meeting. I have asked Braja Bihari prabhu, as the GBC deputy's Chairman, to bring it up in their meeting. I would suggest your send a realistic budget to him so he can use it as an example for what a Ministry needs to function. You can also send a copy to the GBC treasurer Tirtharaj das - (tirtharaj (AT) in (DOT) com.au) so he can consider it in the GBC budget. your servant Ramai Swami Ramai Swami is the GBC chairman this year and we asked him to verify if Ministry needs would be a topic and if it were appropriate for us to make a Ministry budget. I did mention that we were making a budget proposal for $25,000. $25,000 is realistic in my mind to have an operational Ministry. In this context it doesn't seem so. What this Miniistry needs and waht another needs could vary greatly. Please give suggestions as to what to do next. At this point I have receved the advice to gvie at least 4 or 5 categories to the home office and the representatives, which I can do. My question; is $25,000 unrealistic in these circunstances? Your servant, Chayadevi
