Guest guest
I have a cow sanctuary calle Lakshmi Cow Sanctuary Inc in 1515. Ridge Road, Bangor, Pa, 70 miles from New York City. A Buddhist monk donated 2 cows, called Qyo Ho and Qyo Chung, and Swami Dayanandaji donated one called Bharati. I have 2 calves called Nandi and Krishna. I need help to build a barn for winter and suggestions to keep water warm and techniques to remove cow dung and train the bulls. Can any one help. You can come and visit and can give suggestions to make it more pleasant for the mother cows. Thank you! Better to visit someplace BEFORE you accept cows so you know what you are geting into. Little late to be thiking about barn building in December. Your option at this point is basically pole building and bedded pack - using straw for bedding on the earth and keep building it up.

Are you looking for someone to travel wherever you are (forgot already) and donate labor? If you find someone, when they are done, send them to New Vrindaban :-) You would best be served trying to hire some local carpenter and at least do a temporary job on even a portion of the barn to get thru the winter, then do serious renovations next summer. I of course have no idea what condition your barn is in. 150 year old well maintained barn could be quite servicable. >I am > regularly visitng local farms to learn more . Someone should be able to give yo a referral to a resonable carpenter. There is always somebody floating around, even guys with union jobs who work on the side for truck money.
