Taraka Prabhu was doing this wonderful service. Here's a classic Prabhupada

cow quote to tide you over:

 

 

Lord Krsna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead,

is the prime protector of brahminical culture and the cow.

Without knowing and respecting these,

one cannot realize the science of God,

and without this knowledge,

any welfare activities or humanitarian propaganda cannot be successful.

Also, since it's Christmas, I wanted to add to Niscala's comment about the

auspicious detail of Lord Jesus Christ being born in an ox's manger.

 

I, too have found it striking that the Christian's themselves are not aware

of the purport of this detail -- Baby Jesus lay in an ox's manger -- and the

ox represents Dharma the Bull, the personification of religion. Also, most

Christians are not aware that Srila Prabhupada taught Krsna devotees to

worship Jesus as a saktavesa avatar of the Lord.

 

In the old-time celebration of Christmas, the ox figures much more

prominently than in modern nativities that you see in the shopping mall.

For example, in Bottecelli's "Mystic Nativity" the noble ox is placed

directly over the figure of infant Jesus. The traditional English Christmas

carol "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" also contains reference to the oxen at

Jesus' nativity:

Where our sweet Savior lay,

They found him in a manger

Where oxen feed on hay;

His mother Mary kneeling,

Unto the Lord did pray:
