Say you have a farm project with a number of families, back to our 4-family model for example. Each farmer family could be adopted by a number of non-farm devotees. Then at certain festivals, such as Govardhana Puja. Each family and its sponsors could approach the Deity, offering products from the land, and also reading different activities performed during the year. We used to read the different services of the oxen and cows to Sri Sria Radha-Damodara at Gita-nagari. It was very sweet. When there is that social and spiritual dimension to the activity, it really reinforces enthusiasm for making progress and offering a greater variety of things the next time. ys hkdd >I was thinking of >an ad I saw for a request for volunteers to build a buddhist temple in Calif. >The ad was in a paper in North Carolina.
