Not exactly what I was thinking. I was thinking better to kill camels than bulls -- but by your explanation, I can see that the intent is to kill both. That's certainly not good. As for sacrificing cows -- that is prohibited in Kali Yuga -- along with marrying your brother's widowed wife, offering meat to ancestors, taking sannyasa or even sacrifising horses.
