Just saw this story in the latest Dairy Herd Management. Does anyone

know if Hurricane Charley affected the cows at New Ramana Reti in Alachua?

Dairies feel brunt of Hurricane Charley

Four dairies in Manatee County -- located just north of Hurricane

Charley's landfall Friday afternoon -- lost their electrical power and

had to use generators, said Travis Seawright, Manatee County extension

livestock agent. Dairies had generators ahead of time, but some of the

generators reportedly broke down after being pressed into service.

At Ferrin Dakin's dairy near Myakka City, Fla., cows went without

milking for 20 hours, reports the Bradenton Herald. For more, click here
