Guest guest
Small Farmer's Journal actually had the Alachua Temple/Farm featured in an article in 1984 (if I remember correctly). It featured their Ox program and "ISKCON Implements," a devotee temple-sponsored business that imported animal driven farm implements from Latin America. A really nice devotee there named Akincina Krishna has it laminated. There were great pictures of devotees driving the oxen four abreast and sometimes two teams of four abreast in tendem (8 animals). People would stop their cars on the side of the road to watch as the main fields were right in front of the farm - the artical cited this fact. As soon as I saw the "Sisters, Oregon" location-line in the header, I imediately suspected he had something to do with it. When we were publishing Hare Krsna Rural Life, I always thought of Small Farmer's Journal as my model. ys hkdd Mark Middle Mountain wrote: > http://news./s/ap/20050722/ap_on_bi_ge/farm_scene > >----------------------- >To from this mailing list, send an email to: >Cow-Owner (AT) pamho (DOT) net > ----------------------- To from this mailing list, send an email to: Cow-Owner (AT) pamho (DOT) net
