Guest guest
HKdd I am noticing in t he Mother Cow article on Chakra there are assumptions made about calves born there. I was wondering if you are sure all those calfs were born there. I seem to recollect that some of the cows were listed with many more calves than possiblely could have been born at Mother Cow since the date she was acquired. some of the calves may have been born previously. was the number of calves born there explicitly stated or were you adding the numbers up besides each cows picture? What I did to adjust for it was to calculate one cow per year for each year that the cow has been with the project. One cow had 10 cows, but had only been with the project 3 years, so I only counted 3 calves from her. There were two or three other ones which I subtracted calves from also. I think that the total number of calves was closer to 60, but I only listed 50 in my calculations, because I didn't think they could have all been born at Mother Cow. Part of the moral of this story is that if the Project does not supply accurate statistics, that leaves it to the public to supply them. My hope is that it will motivate, not only Mother Cow, but also other projects to post accurate statistics so that the public does not have to guess. I'm also leaving an opening for Mother Cow to respond and say, "No we didn't have that many calves, we had X-number." But every time they open their mouths the fact just becomes more clear, they did not provide real protection for the bull calves. It's like Bush criticizing Kerry for not throwing his actual purple heart medals into the fire -- it just calls attention that Kerry was a war hero, while Bush did not even show up for National Guard duty. ys hkdd

I think, according to Sun Tsu's Art of War, in a confrontation you should always leave an apparent opening to encourage an opponent to attack you. We'll see how this plays out. Hopefully, the audience (the devotees) will learn the necessity of reading the fine print on cow protection programs. Anyway, thanks for looking closely! ys hkdd
