It says: "The Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld the 1994 Gujarat government order banning slaughter of bulls and bullocks over the age of 16 years." this means they can slaughter cows of any age and bulls and bullocks below 16 years unless they have some other rules in this regard. also, who is going to verify the age? devotees should not be satisfied with such rules. we should pray for a complete ban on cow killing, or more specifically cow torture, because if the ban is only on cow killing then the demons can find a way to get around with it---- make the cows suffer so that they die "on their own". ideally the law should be written / approved by a cow worshipper who is a devotee of Lord Krishna.
