Even if the Guru tells it to you somewhat casually, over the phone, or even in the dream state, it is also considered MANTRA DIKSHA too. I actually went to see my Guru , in the process of blessings , I asked for mantra , there was a pause and then the Guru whispered a mantra into my right ear rather in a very casuall manner for a moment I thought it could be a recomendation . thank You again > > YES.
