Guest guest
Sat Nam, One aspect of living in the moment for me is when I am truly totally immersed in the very thing that I am doing...if its washing my hands, I am paying attention to the feel of the water, the smell of the soap, etc... or when I am talking with someone to be mindful to listen to what they are saying and not allow my mind to think of other things, including my response to what they are saying & to really pay attention to what they have to say ... I certainly haven't mastered this, smiles but, I have been doing it for years & what I have found is that I enjoy what is is that I am doing alot more & it has helped to heighten my awareness & slows things down a little... allows me to appreciate and be grateful... to add to this I have also had a change of attitude in the way that I approach alot of things... like cleaning my house, rather than approach it with the "I need to clean"...instead I "give my home LOVE", I know this may sound like such a simple concept, (which it is) that's the beauty, and for me this approach has me enjoying more of what I do because I find that the attitude coupled with being in the moment has me truly caring about what I do... it allows me to relax, and be creative & express myself in ways that feel good... its the little things... for me its "living life with passion" surround myself with beauty... fresh flowers, beautiful smelling soaps, drink out of nice glasses, use the silver for everyday rather than just special occasions...these examples have me feeling & appreciating things more... living in the moment... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh feels good!
